Aggressive inline skating
is an extreme sport, performed on specially designed inline skates with a focus on tricks, stunts and style.

The sport mainly consists of a wide variety of grinds, aerial tricks, slides and other advanced skating maneuvers.

Participants often refer to the activity as rollerblading, blading or rolling. The sport is divided into vert, park, and street skating, referring to the environment that is being skated in. Different environments lend themselves to different tricks, thus the distinction.

1. You can do bigger spins, get more air, and flip easier.

2. There are way more tricks than many other extreme sports.

3. its easier to pick up but gets really hard.

4. Never worry about snapping a board again.

5. Looks really impressive.

6. You can skate faster than a skateboard or scooter.

7. It gives a better use for hand rails.

Take advantage of a nice day and get outside for some fresh air! Rollerblading is a great form of aerobic exercise that tones parts of the body that you never normally use.

Rollerblading both improves balance and strengthens every muscle from the lower back to the knees. Muscles in the upper arms and shoulders are also developed when arms are swung vigorously while skating.

"I started skating on recreational rollerblades at age 36. Now I'm skating Aggressive inline skates at age 38. Anyone can do it. Blading is so fun and the skate park in Penticton is one of the best in Canada."

"My advice to beginners is to focus on first on getting really good at skating. (No grinds, no jumps, just the act of skating).

Learn how to skate backwards looking over both shoulders, learn how to skate hard and fast, learn how to turn. A lot of people getting into "aggressive" skating start by trying to learn grinds before they can even skate very well.

"Going out and just doing weird things is what skating should be."
